Stars: Anne Wilson’s Newest Album

Anne Wilson is an award winning music artist who blends her country upbringing with her deep faith as a Christian. Though, she didn’t always want to be a singer. For most of her childhood, all Anne wanted to be was an astronaut.

Her life changed when she was fifteen, when her brother, Jacob, died in a tragic car accident. He was only twenty-three, and Anne sang What a Beautiful Name at his funeral. One of the songs on Stars is titled Twenty Three, and is a tribute to Jacob and the life God has given her. In the midst of her loss, Anne was noticed by several musicians and started to pursue music. Now, she says, she’s dreaming up on the stage, where she brings glory to God through her lyrics.

Her most popular song on the new album is "God Story". This song is about how every aspect of her life, her dreams, her grief, her successes, all point to God's greatness. God has the power to turn the most hopeless of stories into one of miracles and joy. My favorite line of this song is, "I'm proof that we're all one prayer away from a testimony." Don't think for a minute that God can't do it, because he has changed so many lives in ways that seem impossible.
