As the holiday season draws near, many people, including me, scramble to find gifts for friends and family. But how do you guarantee a memorable gift that your loved ones will really appreciate, especially if you have absolutely no idea what to get them? This 3-step guide will help you gift the perfect presents!
STEP 1: Research
If you aren't already a pro at knowing what your gift receiver likes and dislikes, the research step is pivotal to making sure you buy the perfect gifts. Here are some steps to research gifts your receiver might like without leaning too much into your stalking skills:
Friends - Talk to the people closest to them so you know their passions, hobbies, and dislikes. To whoever you talk to, ask if they have your receiver's gift wishlist
Social Media - Check their saves on Pinterest, Highlights & Stories on Instagram, and any other social media they use to gain clues
Ask personally - As a last resort, it might not hurt to ask them for a wishlist, however, instead of picking one gift from the wishlist, use it as inspiration for other gifts!
STEP 2: Choosing the Gifts!
After researching, you should have an idea of your receiver's ~vibe~. Here are some steps to put together the perfect gift box:
Choose a main present - A main present should (usually) be your biggest, but definitely your stand-out, most important gift. If you already don't have a main present in mind after researching, scroll Amazon or other online shopping sites to find something that catches your eye and reminds you of the receiver.
Find supporting presents - I always feel happy when I have many small presents! Using the color scheme of your main present, find little trinkets that can match: use a wishlist for these presents if you have one!
Personal & Handmade presents - If you want an even more personal present, make something handmade and emotional!
STEP 3: Wrap it up!
This is the last and shortest step! Using the color theme you already established, wrap the presents! If you have many little presents, it might be better to use a bag, but otherwise, pick out your favorite wrapping paper and get taping! To finish it off, decorate it with ribbon and tissue paper.
