Want new, modern Christmas songs to get you in the holiday spirit? Check out Sabrina Carpenter's take on this wonderful season! With a mix of her own original songs and covers of your favorite Christmas classics, Carpenter creates a truly unforgettable holiday album.

Track 1: A Nonsense Christmas

A Nonsense Christmas originated as a fun holiday remix of her original song titled Nonsense, appearing as the first track on this album. She swaps the original lyrics from the song to create flirty Christmas jokes, using holiday tropes to express excitement in a new relationship. Utilizing the framework from her first hit, Sabrina Carpenter crates a fun and witty pop song.

Track 2: Buy Me Presents

Buy Me Presents is the second track on this wonderful album, and personally, my favorite! It's a playful song about wanting to be spoiled by a partner, using gift-giving as a metaphor for attention, affection, and feeling special. She even expresses wanting to be appreciated like a star on a Christmas tree, embracing materialism and romance with a sarcastic and fun tone. The lyrics are a lighthearted take on the holiday spirit, demanding to be the center of someone's festive world.

Track 3: Santa Doesn't Know You Like I Do

This brings us to the third track Santa Doesn't Know You Like I Do, another clever holiday song. Sabrina Carpenter illustrates her intimate, personal love is more profound than the superficial, gift-giving relationship Santa represents. She contrasts between Santa's external, material-based "giving" and her internal, emotional "knowing" to argue that true fulfillment comes from genuine connection and understanding, not presents.

Track 4: Cindy Lou Who

The fourth track on fruitcake is a holiday-themed breakup song where Sabrina Carpenter compares her ex's new girlfriend to Cindy-Lou Who. She describes how this seemingly innocent girl has captured the heart of the boy she loved, saying she feels heartbroken and blue during the festive season and using Christmas imagery to express her sadness. The lyrics detail feeling replaced, acknowledging Cindy-Lou's innocence while feeling bitter about her own replacement during the season.

Track 5: Is It New Year's Yet?

Is It New Year's Yet? is the fifth track of the album and is another one of my favorites! The lyrics convey feelings of holiday loneliness, dissatisfaction with stagnant relationships, and a desperate wish to skip ahead to new years for a fresh start. Sabrina Carpenter contrasts the festive season's expected joy with personal struggle, heartbreak, and a longing for connection amidst a cold, isolating atmosphere.

Track 6: White Christmas

White Christmas is the last track on the album and her only cover of a classic Christmas song. Sabrina Carpenter does a beautiful reimagining of this song, making it a completely different song. While she doesn't take anything away from the original meaning of the song, she gives it a new perspective and does an incredible job.
