Hey! My name is Kiran and I’m a junior at Weddington High. I was born in Hyderabad, India and moved to the U.S. in 2014, where I have lived ever since. Though I moved around a lot before settling in North Carolina, this is where I found my passion for engineering and science. Hi! I am a 9th grader at Marvin Ridge High School. Being able to join the Teen Advisory Group for the UCL Library is a huge opportunity for me because I get to interact with the community and help other teenagers through high school. At TAG, my role is helping organize events, writing blog posts, and so much more to engage teenagers! I am joining a robotics team to learn how to connect it with my dream job of becoming a doctor. With the new AI innovations in surgery using advanced robotics, the role of doctors will be extremely different in the next decade, so I want to learn how to use robotics and AI to my advantage so I can succeed in the world ahead. Another way I want to help my fellow peers and teenagers is through my podcast, Future Me: The Journey Ahead. This podcast interviews various professionals to help teens navigate through the changing world with AI and new technological advancements every singe day. I am always open to connecting with others and I am looking forward to mentor my peers going through the same journey as me!
