Wingate Trunk or Treat
The Town of Wingate's Trunk or Treat will be held on October 25 from 4:00-6:00 at the Wingate Community Park and is free to all. This Trunk or Treat will have lots of decorated cars set up and handing out candy, as well as, free hay rides, a face painter for kids, and a cookout provided by the Provision Church. This events is geared for families with kids of all ages!
Monroe Trunk or Treat and Movie Night
The City of Monroe's Trunk or Treat and Movie Night will be held on October 24 with the Trunk or Treat starting at 6:30 and the movie screening starting at 7:00. It will be located at the Monroe Aquatics and Fitness Center and is free to all. This Trunk or Treat will have many beautifully decorated cars giving out candy to all those participating. At 7:30 they will start a screening of the beloved Halloween movie "Hocus Pocus" (rated PG). Everyone attending is encouraged to wear costumes!

Halloween Spooktacular
The Town of Indian Trail's Halloween Spooktacular will be held on October 24 from 6:00-9:00 at the Chestnut Square Park. This event is free to all! This event has a trunk or treat, pumpkin patch, face painting, arts and crafts, and other spooky kids activities! This event is geared toward families and everyone is encouraged to come dress in costume.
Fright Night
The Town of Waxhaw's Fright Night will be held on October 25 from 4:00-6:00 in Downtown Waxhaw. This event is free, but they are selling tickets to a spellbinding Haunted History Tour that night. This event includes trick or treating, live music, food trucks, costume contests, various activities, and the aforementioned Haunted History Tour. This event has something for people of all ages, but everyone should come dressed up!
Silver Screams
The City of Monroe's Silver Screams will be held on many days throughout October. They will be screening "Addams Family Values" (rated PG-13) on October 18 at 2:00. They will also be screening "Beetlejuice" (rated PG) on October 23 at 7:00. Entrance to both these events is only $2. They also have a triple screening of "The Invisible Man" (rated R), "The Bride of Frankenstein" (rated PG), and "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" (rated G) on October 30 at 6:00, 7:30, and 9:00 respectively. All three of these Halloween classics will be screened on the same night for only $3!
Pumpkin Decoration Contest
The City of Monroe's Pumpkin Decorating Contest spans from October 6-31. Competitors must decorate a fake pumpkin and drop it off at the Monroe Fitness and Aquatics Center between October 6 & 20. Pumpkins can be decorated in any way as long as they stand on their own. Voting will take place between the 27 & 30 of October and the winner will be announced on October 31. Have fun decorating and good luck to any who participate!

Wise Acres
Wise Acres is having a "Pumpkin Season" from now until November 2. Admission in $3 for no pizza and and children 2 and under are free. Admission plus is $3 for admission and $29 for 2 pizzas. The admission includes access to pumpkin and flower fields, the playgrounds, visiting and feeding the animals, and a scavenger hunt in the woods behind the playground. You can purchase access to the corn pit ($4 for unlimited access), wagon rides ($4 per person for those 2 and under), a barrel train ($3 per person for those under 12), pumpkins and flowers, slushies, concession, local goods, beer, cider, and wine. Unfortunately our favourite furry friends are not allowed.
13th Acre
13th Acre is open Friday through Sunday every weekend from September 19 until November 1. The many kinds of tickets are available including general admission, fast pass, V.I.P., observer only, fire place rental. The costs range from $10.50-$65. 13th Acre is a terrifying experience geared to adults, teens, and older children. They have 2 haunted trails, "Coffin Creek" and "The For13idden Acre". Have fun visiting, but beware the scare!
Boo at Blair
The Town of Stallings' Boo at Blair will be held on October 10, at Blair Mill park from 5:30 but a screening of the classic Halloween movie, "Hocus Pocus" (rated PG), will begin at 7:30. Admission is free to everyone and they will have 5 rounds of Bingo, Halloween themed crafts and What A Burger #13 and Leif Cafe will be serving food all night long. They recommend you bring chairs and a blanket to relax with when the movie starts.
