"Better Than The Movies" - What We Know About the Upcoming Film

"Better Than The Movies" by Lynn Painter is a best-selling young-adult romance novel that is being adapted into a movie this upcoming year. The book was released in 2021 and the movie is expected to be released in 2027. This book is very popular, and it spent two months as a #1 New York Times Bestseller.

The book follows Liz Buxbaum a hopeless-romantic rom-com fan, as she teams up with her annoying-but-cute neighbor Wes Bennett to win over her longtime crush-only to discover that her happily-ever-after might have been next door all along. The film adaptation is currently at work with Netflix and has an incredible cast and crew. Liz Buxbaum will be played by Beatrice Kitsos and Wes Bennett will be played by David Iacono. Michael Young will be played by Deacon Phillippe, who is the son of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe. The film will be directed by Julia Hart, written by Julia Hart, Jordan Horowitz, and Heather Flanders, and produced by Jordan Horowitz, Shauna Phelan, and Melanie Krauss.

Beatrice Kitsos is a 21-year-old actress who has appeared in "Are you afraid of the dark?", "Upside-Down Magic", and "Percy Jackson and the Olympians". David Iacono is 24, and he has been in "Joker", "The Summer I Turned Pretty", and a few other projects. Even though these are they only cast members we know of now, we can already tell that it is a very talented cast!

The movie is currently being filmed in Chicago, Illinois, and is set to wrap filming sometime in October.
