10 NOSTALGIC BOOK SERIES FROM THE 2000s YOU PROBABLY FORGOT ABOUT!

If you were a kid in the 2000s, like me, chances are you were a passionate bookworm. Let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of those beloved book series from the 2000s that you might have forgotten about. Prepare to feel the nostalgia!

Rainbow Magic Fairies. I wasn't a girly girl, but that didn't stop me from eating up this book series! This series was created in 2003 and the books of this series are still being published.

There are over 200 Rainbow Magic Fairy books! The colorful fairies and their magical adventures kept us captivated for hours on end.

Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! This book series will probably bring you back to your younger days. This was one of my favorite series to read! You might not know this book is actually a series with 7 books in all.

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie This book, often read aloud in elementary school, became a favorite among many. Little did we know, that there were actually 17 more books in the series, including "If You Give a Pig a Pancake!" These stories were full of whimsy and taught us valuable lessons about cause and effect.

Fly Guy

Fly Guy This book will probably feel more recent, as I remember my younger brother reading and collecting this book series. There are in total 19 Fly Guy books. My favorite has to be Fly Guy Meets Fly Girl!

39 Clues This is a book series you probably remember reading in late elementary school. Each book had a different children's storybook author, including the likes of Rick Riordan, Gordon Korman & Peter Lerangis. If you never finished this book series, and plan to start again, you must read through 11 books- or 15 if you're a superfan! Good Luck!

The Boxcar Children I have fond memories of reading the first book and even writing a book report on it back in 2nd grade. Little did I know, that the series would eventually expand to a staggering 159 books, all of which were mysteries. The adventures of the Alden siblings kept us on our toes and fueled our love for solving puzzles!

Thea Sisters

Geronimo Stilton Speaking of mysteries, how could we forget this fan favorite? 82 amazing books jampacked with adventure and mystery- my absolute favorite series to read.

Thea Stilton Did I say absolute favorite? I have to take that back as we talk about the sibling series of Geronimo Stilton, Thea Stilton! However, this series followed Thea's students in her investigating class. I loved reading about the Thea Sister's adventures and loved their personalities coming together. My favorite sister had to be Paulina :)

Judy Moody This tomboyish character took us on unforgettable journeys through school and even summer vacations. With 25 books in the series, Judy's escapades never failed to entertain. The ending pages of "Judy Moody: Around the World in 8 1/2 Days" always left me craving a slice of pizza.

Magic Treehouse Embarking on a remarkable odyssey across 63 captivating books, the duo of Jack and Annie seized the attention of every student, leaving them teetering on the edge of their seats in excitement! I can still recall the longing I felt, immersed in the pages, yearning for a treehouse of my own that could whisk me away to the very realms the siblings explored. Who wouldn't wish for a magical passage to those fantastical settings? Mary Pope Osborne really perfected a way to get kids, including me, interested in the world's history!

Reflecting on these series surely brings back memories of our younger days, when we were immersed in the worlds created by these talented authors. Perhaps this trip down memory lane has sparked a desire to revisit some of your favorite childhood books, and maybe helped you remember some of your favorite book series! So dust off those shelves, grab a cozy spot, and indulge in the nostalgia of being a bookworm in the 2000s. Happy reading!
