iOS 26 has completely revolutionized the iPhone. From sleek new visuals to enhanced artificial intelligence features, Apple has improved every aspect of the software. So what is new on iOS 26?

Graphics

Apps move slightly, and so does the white edge on them when you tilt your phone.

First, let's start with the most obvious change — the Liquid Glass features. What I've found the most interesting is the new look for apps. They have slight "reflections" that move around as you tilt your phone. You can also now make your apps look like clear glass if you want. There are also cleaner menus in many apps that change shape dynamically to fit the amount of content they show. Additionally, the keyboard is now more rounded.

The lock screen has received a new see-through, lengthened clock and spatial features. The AI on your phone can now create a spatial scene from almost any photo, even one taken before the update. Just open your Photos app, tap an image, and press the hexagon icon in the top right section of your screen. Now you have an immersive photo! You can also create a spatial wallpaper as shown below.

Messages

Messages has added a lot of new features. The most significant are backgrounds and polls. You can select one of Apple's premade animated backgrounds, have its AI create one for you, or select a photo in your library to display it in a conversation.

AI Features

Apple's AI has gotten a major boost. You can now take a screenshot and search things in it with visual recognition technology. You can also have it screen unknown calls and texts, and prioritize notifications.
