I'm gonna give you guys a run-down of some of the Yu-Gi-Oh characters (what they're like, where they live, their favorite card, and what series they're from). There are so many characters in the Yu-Gi-Oh. So, for this post, I'm only going to focus on the main characters of the first five series. If there's a character you'd like to see me give a run-down of in a future post, you can leave a message on socials or let a librarian know. Without further ado, let's get to it.
Name: Atem (Yami Yugi) and Yugi Moto.
Current Residence: Domino City.
Favorite Card: Dark Magician.
Greatest Rival: Seto Kaiba.
Series: Duel Monsters.
Favorite Saying: "I believe in the heart of the cards."
Personality: Atem and Yugi are very similar. Both believe in their cards and friendship. They also have the same hairstyle (though Atem had it first and may be Yugi's ancestor). The two have a few noticeable differences, besides the fact that Atem is a foot taller. Yugi acts a little bit more childish and relies heavily on help from others. Atem Is more serious and will get the job done.
Name: Jaden Yuki.
Current Residence: Slifer Red Dorm on the Duel Academy island.
Favorite Card: Elemental HERO Neos.
Greatest Rival: Aster Phoenix.
Series: GX
Favorite Saying: "Get your game on" & "That's game!"
Personality: Jaden is trouble. Whether he finds it, or it finds him. He's always dueling teachers and other students to get out of trouble or to defend his friends. Arriving on Duel Academy island, Jaden met Yugi (or Atem as Yugi). But no matter what, Jaden knows he can count on his friends to help.
Name: Yusei Fudo.
Current Residence: New Domino City.
Favorite Card: Stardust Dragon.
Greatest Rival: Jack Atlas (the two are also best friends).
Series: 5D's.
Favorite Saying: "Time to rev it up."
Personality: Coming from the poor part of the city, Yusei knows the meaning of hard work. He's always trying to improve his life as well as others whoever else lives the same way he had to. And whenever his friends need help, he comes running. He's thoughtful and is a very skilled mechanic and helps fix his friends vehicles.
Name: Yuma Tsukumo
Current Residence: His Grandma's House.
Favorite Card: Number 39: Utopia.
Greatest Rival: Kite Tenjo.
Series: Zexal.
Favorite Saying: "I'm feeling the flow." & "I'm gonna high five the sky."
Personality: Yuma can be a bit of a wild child. He's always looking for a duel. He can often be found sleeping in class. He hates looking weak and having to make difficult decisions. He believes anyone he duels is then his friend and he always looks for a scenario where everyone can be happy, even in the toughest of times. He hates losing his friends.
Name: Yuya Sakaki. Name: Yugo. Name: Yuto. Name: Yuri.
Current Residence: Standard Dimension (as Yuya).
Favorite Card: Yuya: Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. Yuto: Clear-Wing Synchro Dragon. Yugo: Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon. Yuri: Starving Venom Fusion Dragon.
Greatest Rival: Himself.
Favorite Saying: "It's time to swing into action." (Yuya).
Personality: Yuya: Yuya is always smiling. He strives to entertain like his father before him. Yuya always tries to make friends and tries to make everything right. Yugo: Yugo's dimension, the Xyz dimension that Yuma's from, was destroyed by the fusion wielders. He's full of rage and intent on revenge and protecting the other dimensions when Yuya finds him. The two quickly join forces (and bodies) before meeting Yuto. Yuto: Yuto is a high speeding duelist from the same dimension as Yusei. He likes to ride his bike and duel. Yuri: Yuri is a power-hungry fusion welder. He wants to reunite the maniacal Z-ARC. Yuya, Yugo, and Yuto are all protective of their friend who is also one person split in four. Yuya now acts as the carrier for the others.

Current Residence: Unknown.
Favorite Card: Z-ARC.
Greatest Rival: None.
Series: Arc-V
Personality: Z-ARC was a maniacal being that was once a duelist. He was so intent on winning he turned himself in a monster. Now he seems to be insane. The only way to stop him was splitting the world into four dimensions. Yuya defeated him the second time while being a part of him.
