Do you enjoy drawing and want to try your hand at drawing an anime character? Then check out my guide below.
First we start with an oval. Don't worry if it's not perfect. Then we pull some lines down along the sides before curving them in to the bottom creating the jaw.
_________
I always put guidelines. There are many ways to draw eyes but I use the traditional triangle and lines. Then we add the ovals for the eyes.
________
Two triangles create the eyebrows and broken lines create the nose and mouth. Now to get to work on the hair which consists of wavy triangles.
_______
Now I trace it over in pen before coloring. I'll be using colored pencils. I mix colored to get different shades. I always start with the eyes then hair.

________
Now we color the face. I use either a peach or I leave it white. Then we use pencil to make the triangles that create the shading of the nose.

_______
I've drawn anime characters, such as Naruto from Shonen Jump, off of pictures. But that was because I practiced. Now if you don't want to use color, you can do what I did with one "manga" I created and go old school: black, white, and grey (of which there are apparently there are 50 shades).
